Lokchart, Mamie 'Mickey'
Mamie “Mickey” Lockhart, 93, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. There will be a private graveside service. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Shiloh Cemetery, Hiawatha.
Survivors include her son, Bill (Sue) Lockhart of Amana; son-in-law, James Ryan of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and special friend, Susie Lockhart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tom Lockhart; daughter, Linda Ryan; grandson, Monte Ryan; and brother, Chuck (Marie) Numerick.
Mickey was born Aug. 1, 1919, in Cedar Rapids, daughter of Angelo and Edith Numerick. She attended Roosevelt High School. Mickey married Tom Lockhart. She worked at Wilson Packaging for 30 years until she retired. Tom died in 1976. Mickey then moved to live with her son in Amana. She liked to dance every Friday night and to cook for her family and friends. Mickey was a hard worker and loved spending time and caring for her family.
