LOIS MURIEL ZIMMERMAN

Lois Muriel Zimmerman (nee Soupene), of Lake Worth, Fla., formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 17, 2016, at the age of 87. Lois shared her opinions openly and honestly with everyone who knew her. Her musings will be sorely missed.
Lois was born to Orville and Velma Soupene in Manhattan, Kan. In 1948, she married Frederic Zimmerman. Her primary occupation was bookkeeper. She loved playing bridge and dominoes with her many friends.
Lois is survived by her son, Gerald (Jerry) Zimmerman (Patty) of Prairie Village, Kan.; daughter, Gloria McAllister (Shawn) of Lake Worth; two grandchildren, Jason and Michael Zimmerman of Kansas City; her sisters, Dee Keating (Bernard) of Cedar Rapids and Phyllis Boon (William) of Ames; brother, William Soupene (Macey) of Anamosa; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frederic; her brother, James Soupene; and her
sister, Iris Dawson.
Services will be held at a later date at Kaufman's
Funeral Home in Halstead, Kan. Donations in Lois' memory may be made to your local hospice chapter.
