LOIS YUTESLER

Lois Yutesler, 81, of Clarence, died Friday, Sept. 2, 2016, at Clarence Nursing Home. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, at St. John's UCC in Clarence, by Pastor Tommi Boeder. Burial: Inland Cemetery, Bennett. Visitation will be one hour before the service Tuesday.
Lois was born Aug. 2, 1935, on the family farm in Lowden, to Richard and Claudine (VonEssen) Licht. She married Darrell Yutesler on May 26, 1956, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lowden. He passed away June 3, 2013.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Memorial Fund or St. John's Women's Fellowship.
Lois was a farm wife for many years before working at Midwest Metals in Cedar Rapids for 15 years. She then went to work at the Clarence Nursing Home for six years in various areas.
Lois enjoyed playing cards, baking and eating out with family and friends. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Clarence and Lowden Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include sons, Terry (Kris) of Bennett, Rick (Sheila) of Bettendorf and Darrell Jr. (Jody) of Lowden; daughter, Linda (Mike) Anderson of Bennett; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Alvin Licht of Lowden, Larry Licht of Clarence and Marvin Licht of Cambridge, Ill.; three sisters, Lucille Horman of Lowden, Eleanor Wenndt of Cedar Rapids and Elaine Kroh of Wheatland; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and granddaughter, Jody Anderson.
