Lois Trainor Schubel, 84, of Hudson, died at Covenant Medical Center on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016.
She was born Sept. 3, 1931, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, daughter of George and Marie Pulver Michaels. Lois married John "Pat" Trainor on Nov. 19, 1949, in Waterloo; he died Dec. 16, 1997. She married Rodger Schubel on Dec. 31, 2000, in Weslaco, Texas.
She graduated from Hudson High School and worked in the mail department at American Soybean Office and in the business office at Hawkeye Community College until retiring in 1989. Lois was a member of Community Church of Hudson.
She is survived by her husband, Rodger Schubel of Hudson; daughter, Linda Heidemann of Waverly; daughter, Paula (David) Nelson of Tripoli; son, John (Jack) Trainor of Overland Park, Kan.; son, Michael (Anna) Trainor of Dysart; son, Larry (Kathy) Trainor of Hampshire, Ill.; stepdaughter, Denise (Joshua) Railsback of Shellsburg; stepdaughter, Lynn (Kenny) Barrett of Cedar Rapids; 10 grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; and brothers, Ferdinand (Margaret) Michaels and George Jr. (Dolores) Michaels, both of Waterloo.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, "Pat"; stepdaughter, Jeannine Stazak; and stepson, Ron Schubel.
Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 22, at Community Church of Hudson. Burial: Hudson Cemetery. Visitation: 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, at Locke Funeral Home in Waterloo.
