Lois Jean Taylor, 91, of Alburnett, died Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at her home. Funeral service: 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Lois was born Sept. 23, 1925, the daughter of Charles and Lela (Pratt) Willmott, in Linn County. She married Barton C. Taylor on Jan. 19, 1946. He passed away in 2012. Lois enjoyed many hobbies, including sewing, cooking, baking and gardening. She was a member of Garden Club, and her specialty was African violets. She worked as a homemaker most of her life. Taking care of her family was her greatest joy.
Survivors include three children, Jerry (Diana) Taylor, Janice (Bob) Ehrenberger and Joyce Taylor; four grandchildren, Aaron Taylor, Ben (Keren) Taylor, Daniel (Jennifer) Ehrenberger and Tiffany (Adam) Rupp; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Willmott; and special friends, Cindy and Bill Mefford and Bev Naylor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters and one brother.
