Lois Johnson
LOIS JOHNSON Cedar Rapids Lois J. Johnson, 85, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2015, at Northbrook Manor. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the chapel. Entombment will take place at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Lois was born Nov. 16, 1929, in Hayward, Minn., to Merrills and Dagmar (Lindahl) Jones. She was united in marriage to Howard Devere Johnson on Nov. 25, 1950, in Albert Lea, Minn. Lois worked as an inspector at Rockwell International until her retirement in 1990. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Marion. Lois enjoyed being at home and doing crossword puzzles. Lois is survived by two sons, John (Deb) Johnson of Cedar Rapids and Michael (Diane) Johnson of Iowa City; five grandchildren, Mark, Allison, Lindsay, Brandon and Kelly; 11 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Doris. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard in 2003; and sister, Lavonne Herding. A memorial fund has been established to the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection.
