Lois Jean (Avery) Taylor, 90, of Cedar Rapids passed away peacefully after a short illness on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2022. Teahen Funeral Home and Cremation is serving the family.
Lois was born to Jayman and Mildred Avery on Nov. 14, 1931. She grew up on the south side of Chicago, Ill., and lived most of her life in the city of Chicago, a place that Lois dearly loved. Her other great loves were her family, especially her sons, Dr. William Taylor of Oklahoma and Brian Taylor of Cedar Rapids.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Ruthanne Doran.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 5338 Johnson Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404.
