Lois Gayle Dietrich, 94, of rural Marengo, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017, at St Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
Private graveside services will be held for the immediate family on Wednesday, Oct. 11, at Ohio Cemetery near Ladora.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Camp Courageous of Iowa, P.O. Box 418, Monticello, IA 52310-0418.
On Aug. 28, 1946, she was united in marriage with Clayton F. Dietrich at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.
She was a farm wife, devoted mother to her children and an especially loving caregiver for her son, David.
Lois is survived by her children, Donna (Terry) Stewart and Dan (Vicki) Dietrich.
Also surviving are her brother, Bill McKusker; sister-in-law, Betty Dietrich; and many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Vera (Cooperider) McKusker; her husband, Clayton; her son, David; two sisters, Noreen Miller and Ardis VanHamme; two brothers, Carroll and Jack McKusker; a niece, Linda VanHamme; and a nephew, Jim McKusker.
