LOIS DARLENE GRAFT
North Liberty
Lois Darlene Graft, 84, of North Liberty, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 25, 2021, at the Solon Retirement Village. Funeral Mass will be 11:30 a.m. Jan. 10, 2022, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Solon. Inurnment will be in Lisbon Cemetery. Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Solon are caring for Lois and her family.
Lois was born Dec. 20, 1937, in Buffalo Center, the daughter of Darrell and Ruby (Rummens) James. She graduated from Buffalo Center High School. Lois was united in marriage to Leroy Graft Jr. on Dec. 31, 1955. She worked for many years at West Branch Schools as a custodian, until her retirement. She enjoyed going to garage sales and thrift stores, staying busy, cooking, cleaning, camping, traveling, gardening and, most of all, spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church as a part of Helping Hands.
Lois is survived by her sons, James (Cathy) Graft and Donnie (Sarah) Graft; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; her brothers, Ernie James and Don (Linda) James; her sister, Carol Griffith; her daughter-in-law, Chrisy Graft; her sister-in-laws, Shirley James, Mary James, Barb James and Joan James; her brother-in-law, Dick Bohl; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, LeRoy Graft and Robert Heiman; her son, Don Graft; her infant children, Wayne, Duane and Tony; and her siblings, Jim, Dean, Ron, Ed and Joanne.
Please join the family for lunch after Mass before the burial.
