Lois Anne Winch, 80, of Hopkinton (Buck Creek), Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 11, 2021. Visitation for Lois will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Manchester, where a funeral service will begin at 6 p.m. A private family burial will take place at a later date at the Buck Creek Cemetery.

Lois was born on Oct. 9, 1940, in Maquoketa, Iowa, the daughter of Chester S. and Charlene A. (Rolf) Sutton. She was a 1958 graduate of Monticello High School in Monticello, Iowa. Lois married Merle M. Winch on Nov. 15, 1958, in Monticello. She was formerly employed by Nash Finch as well as Future Foam for several years. Lois spent most of her life at home raising her five children and being a farm wife. She also loved tending to her garden of flowers, spending countless hours there. Lois loved her flowers as if they were her children. She equally loved being with her children and watching them grow and blossom. Lois will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lois is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband of 62 years, Merle Winch Sr.; children, Joni Kinkead of Alburnett, Iowa, Merle Winch Jr. (Tammy Danger) of Manchester, Lisa Winch of Monticello, Eliot (Nancy) Winch of Buck Creek and Stacey Winch of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Charlene Sutton; and one daughter-in-law, Mary Winch.
