LOGAN ROONEY

Logan "Roondog" Jeffrey Rooney, 25, of Center Point, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and high school friends on Friday, June 10, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 13, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Center Point. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, at Center Point- Urbana High School in Center Point by Uncle Tom Rooney.
Survivors include his parents, David and Stacy Rooney of Ankeny; siblings, Drake Rooney and Camryn Rooney, and a nephew on the way, of Ankeny; many aunts, uncles, cousins and great cousins; and godparents, Tom and Laurie Berkland of Davenport.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jackie and Joe Williamson, Bill Rooney, Katie Rooney Loss and Bill Loss; uncle, Jim Rooney; and aunts, Mary Loss and Debbie Rooney.
Logan was born April 9, 1991, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a son of David and Stacy Rooney. He graduated from Center Point-Urbana High School in 2009. Logan was an accomplished speech participant in which he made Individual All-State for Improv as a senior. Logan worked at a call center for Security Coverage. He was known to most as a "computer nerd." He was a member of the Computer Club-CGA of Center Point-Urbana. Logan enjoyed his dogs, Otis and Stinky; magic, card games and online gaming. He collected stupid T-shirts and was sarcastic and funny.
He will be deeply missed by his loving family and his many friends.
