Logan, Rhea C.
Rhea C. Logan, 81, of Washington, died Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington following an extended illness. Celebration of Life services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 5, at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with Pastor Julie Poulsen officiating. Visitation will begin noon Friday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery, Washington.
Rhea is survived by two sons, James Logan and wife Anna of Washington and Thomas Logan and wife Jean of Des Moines; four grandchildren, Heather Workman and husband James of Kansas City, Mo., Lisa Vittetoe and husband Darrin of North Liberty, Abigail Logan of Seattle, Wash., and Grant Logan of Des Moines; and five great-grandchildren, Alexa, Gabrielle and Eli Workman and Logan and Taylor Vittetoe. Rhea is also survived by three sisters, Fern Messer of Davenport, Nyla Thrapp of Davenport and Clarice Deevers of Ottumwa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John in 1988; two brothers, Claire Buck and Perry Reinier; paternal grandparents, Gottlieb and Grace (Brock) Buck; her maternal grandparents, Maley and Amey (Wiseman) Ingle; and special friend, Nolan Stogdill.
A memorial has been established for the elevator fund at United Methodist Church in Washington.
