Lloyd George Hasson Sr., 73, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Oct. 21, 2016, at home. Private family graveside services will be held at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his son, John Hasson of Cedar Rapids; brother, Andrew (Iris) Choplick Jr. of Waverly; niece, Tammy Clark of Denver, Colo.; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five sons, Thomas, David, Robert, Lloyd Jr. and Richard Hasson; and two sisters, Sue Doyle and Elizabeth Cinkan.
Lloyd was born Dec. 8, 1942, the son of Edgar and Grace (Lucosh) Hasson in Braznell, Pa. He was a long-time truck driver with Transport America and later retired from CR Conveying in 1998.
An avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Iowa Hawkeyes fan, Lloyd also loved hunting, fishing and golfing, and especially his beloved dogs.
