Livingston, Arvilla Bernice
Arvilla Bernice Livingston, 88, of Leonard, Minn., died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2011, at Clearwater County Memorial Hospital in Bagley, Minn. Funeral services were Jan. 6 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Clearbrook, Minn. Interment will be held in the spring at Silver Creek Cemetery, Clearbrook. The Cease Family Funeral Home in Bagley, Minn., assisted with arrangements.
Arvilla married Donald E. Livingston on March 19, 1944. They lived in Duluth, Minn., while Don worked for Western Electric from 1947-1950. They moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1950. She worked as a secretary for WMT Radio/TV as a secretary for business manager Leo Cole from 1963-1966. Arvilla worked for the Cedar Rapids Board of Education, running a printing press, from 1976-1985. They retired in 1985 and moved to Clearwater Lake in 1986.
She is survived by her husband, Donald of Leonard, Minn.; daughter, Ann-Bardwell (Chris) Ross of Bemidji, Minn.; son, Richard (Barbara) Livingston of Marshalltown; daughter-in-law, Glory-Lynne Livingston of Wellsville, Kan.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, David, on Dec. 24, 2010; two brothers, Marvin and Olander Granley; and a nephew, Jerald Granley.
