Lisk, Gerald
Gerald Lisk, 94, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids.No services are planned. Inurnment will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home assisted the family.
Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Nelle; son, Robert Lisk;grandson, Franklin Gerald Lisk, both of Cedar Rapids; and special family friends, Debbie and Sara Hoopes of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Helen; and brother, Clyde.
Gerald Lisk was born Oct. 31, 1916 in Tioga, Iowa, the son of Elmer and Hazel (Mendenhall) Lisk. He served during World War II in the Army Air Force. On Oct. 2, 1956, Gerald married Nelle Gosnell in Chicago. Gerald was a carpenter/millwright for many years and served as financial secretary for Carpenters & Joiners of America Local No. 308 for over 10 years.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to St. Luke's Palliative Care, St. Luke's 5C Nurses and St. Luke's Hospice team (especially Beth) for all their loving and caring support.
