Lisa Marie Newton, 44, passed away unexpectedly at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center ER on Friday, Sept. 4, 2015. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on July 22, 1971, to Stephen and Linda Newton.
Lisa graduated from North Polk High School and enjoyed spending time with her cat, Chester.
Lisa is survived by her parents, Stephen and Linda; brothers, Michael Newton, Justin Newton and Dylon Clark; sisters, Cathy Newton and Amanda Alsager; her niece, Brittini (Zach) Newton-Fisher; beloved cat; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Newton; and grandmother, Margaret Taylor.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Animal Rescue League or Easter Seals in loving memory of Lisa.
