Lisa Marie Mallie, 56, of Atkins, formerly of Marion, passed away Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017. Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 23, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Brian Mallie of Mount Vernon; sisters, Dorene (Dean) Bruce of Marion, Vicki (Curt) Edinger of Tucson, Ariz., and Laurie (Mark) McCormack of Atkins; many nieces and nephews; and three great-nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Lisa was born Aug. 16, 1961, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Wayne and Dorothy (Wehde) Long. She attended Marion High School. Lisa was united in marriage to Brian Mallie on Oct. 18, 2003, at the Longbranch in Marion. She had a love for all animals. Lisa's beloved dog, Cinder, will rest with her.
