Lint, Marie C.
Marie C. Lint, 85, of Marion, went to be with the Lord Friday, April 27, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marion. The Knights of Columbus #5390 of Marion will recite the rosary at 4 p.m. Monday, April 30, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion. The family will then greet friends from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her five children, Linda (Richard) Appleby of Marion, Gregg (Julie) Lint of Norway, Nancy (Douglas) Exline of Fairfax, Chris (Karen) Lint of Center Point, and Cathy (David) Deeney of Marion; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ray Buresh of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and one brother, Charles Buresh.
Marie was born Dec. 9, 1926, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Charles P. and Genevieve B. (Lynch) Buresh. She graduated from St. Patrick's High School in Cedar Rapids in 1944. Marie married Galen Lint on June 14, 1948, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids. She retired from Dale Lee Distributing. Marie enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds and camping. She especially enjoyed trips to Branson, Mo., and sharing Sunday family dinners. One of her greatest joys was getting the family together for Christmas. Marie's family and her Catholic faith were paramount in her life.
A memorial fund has been established in Marie's memory.
