Linda Lou (Howe) Lindgren, 77, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Monday, July 26, 2021, at the Hiawatha Care Center, Hiawatha, Iowa. Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 30, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, with visitation to begin one hour prior. Burial will take place at Dysart Cemetery in Dysart, Iowa, at

Linda was born March 6, 1944, to Everette and Alma (Stahr) Howe in Tama County, Iowa. She graduated from Keystone High School and soon after school married Gaylon Gein. They had two children, Christine (Steve) Ottoson and Chad (Darla) Gein; and grandson, Ashton.
At an early age, due to pancreatic cancer, Gaylon passed away. In August 2004, longtime friend, Thomas Lindgren and Linda tied the knot in Holy matrimony. Tom has three children, now all adults, Michael Lindgren, Ann (Brian) Friedman and Joseph (Marie) Lindgren.
Linda worked at Rockwell-Collins for 30 years, working as a project material coordinator. She worked on many important government programs throughout those years, retiring in 1999. She enjoyed many domestic trips with Tom. Linda also enjoyed cooking for her family on the holidays. Christmas was very special to her, having her family share her cooking, music, gifts and fun stories. Her sisters and brothers, along with their mates, made a habit of big parties at each other's houses too.
Linda is survived by her husband, Tom; her children, Christine (Steve) Ottoson and Chad (Darla) Gein; and grandson, Ashton; her brother, Allen (Linda) Howe; and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are Tom's children and grandchildren, Michael Lindgren, Ann (Brian) Friedman, and Joseph (Marie) Lindgren, and Alex (Jourdan), Megan, Andrew, William, Emma, Jonathon and Jacob.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Gaylon; brothers, Delbert, Gerald and Stanford; and sisters, Thelma, Marjorie, Helen and Zelda.
