Linda Suzanne Rybak, 62, of Cedar Rapids, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2022, at her home. Services: 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022, at Teahen Funeral Home. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, Oct. 14, 2022, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Teahen Funeral Home.
Linda is survived by daughter, Laura Rybak of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren, Jost Benson and Giannia “Gigi” Guarino; brother, Charlie (Rachel) Novak of Louisiana; and ex-husband, Ray Rybak.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents.
Linda was born on Jan. 7, 1960, the adopted daughter of Virgil and Myrtle Leitz Novak in Dubuque, Iowa. She graduated from University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dietary Health. Linda married Raymond Rybak on Nov. 26, 1985. Later in life Linda joined the Beta Sigma Phi sorority chapter MA 574.
Linda enjoyed gardening, reading cooking magazines, going to concerts, and caring for others. She deeply loved spending time with her grandchildren, preparing for holidays, and cooking.
Linda's best memories were made during time spent with family in Ontario, Canada, with her family at reunions, and getaway trips with her daughter.
