Linda Sue (Pilgrim) Christensen, 71, died peacefully Monday, March 10, 2025.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at 1 PM at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City. Visitation will be after noon Sunday, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Iowa City Boys Baseball.
Linda was born November 5,1953 in Clinton, the daughter of James and Doris (Bullington) Pilgrim. She was a graduate of Clinton High School. In 1973 Linda moved to Iowa City to attend the University of Iowa.
On May 2,1987 Linda married Ronald Christensen and they made their home in Iowa City.
Linda was employed at Sheller-Globe in production control for many years. She then worked at Farmers and Merchants Bank in Lone Tree and Iowa City and later the Game Day Iowa Family Business.
She was a member of the Pilot Club of Iowa City and the Iowa City Women’s Bowling Assn. where she served on their board of directors.
Linda is survived by her husband, Ron; her two sisters, Lisa (Tom) Caruso of Clinton and LouAnn Pilgrim-Cherry of Plattsmouth, NE; three stepsons, Jeff (Kristy) Christensen of Los Angeles, Ronald (Katy) Christensen Jr. of West Virginia, and Daniel (Patricia) Christensen of Iowa City; grandchildren, Ben, Lauren, Ty, Scott, and Stevenson; stepgranddaughters, Shaylin Brown and Larkin Brown; nephews and niece, David (Sarah) Cherry, Brian (Bobbi) Cherry, Cara (Dan) Borter, and Nicholas Caruso; great-niece and -nephews, Brinley, Porter, Oliver and Torben.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, James and Doris (Bullington) Pilgrim.
