Linda Sue Osterkamp (Pollet), 72, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Oldorf Hospice House. Visitation will be held Saturday, July 15, at 10 a.m., with a funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories officiated by Brien Brough of Altoona. A committal service will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Linda was born Aug. 10, 1950, to Charles and Marcene (Randall) Pollet. She worked at Options for many years. She lived at home with her parents for most of her life, later moving to Linn Manor where she lived until her passing. Linda enjoyed movies, loved animals, especially dogs and she was a very giving person. Linda loved to sing and dance all her life. While at Linn Manor she would break out in song (out of the blue). She loved going to church, and after her mom’s passing, she frequently would sing “I’ll Fly Away.” Linda had a special relationship with Grant, the pastor at Linn Manor, who would sing with her. Linda loved her family and often asked about how they were doing.
Those left to cherish Linda’s memory are sisters, Vicky (Don) Bowers and Sherry (Steve) Keiper; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Marcene; as well as a brother, Charles Pollet.
The family would like to thank all who loved and cared for her at Linn Manor (some of whom she had special names for), as well as the staff at Hospice of Mercy.
