Linda L. Riha, 66, of Shellsburg, died Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City following an extended illness.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Jan. 31, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, at Elliott Chapel, 1 Redbud Lane, New London, IA 52645. Visitation will take place one hour before the service at Elliott Chapel. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Danville, Iowa.
Linda was born Sept. 18, 1950, in Fairfield, Iowa, the beloved daughter of Frank and Donna (McCannon) Woodall. She was united in marriage to Dale Riha on June 25, 1994, in New London.
Linda was an accomplished office manager. She enjoyed competitive drag racing, winning the Indianapolis Good Guys Race. She loved to winter in Arizona, where she enjoyed riding ATVs. She was a creative soul and a gifted painter.
Linda will be missed by those who loved her. She will be remembered as a loving mother, wife, sister, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her husband, Dale; her mother, Donna Baker of New London; her daughter, Brandi (Kendall) Irvin of Cedar Rapids; stepchildren, Michelle (Andrew) Kimm of Amana and Chris (Jessica) Riha of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Judy (Dean) Messer of Colorado; niece, Bobbi (Jacob) Spinsby of Colorado; and grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her father, Frank Woodall, and nephew, Monte Burrus.
