Linda was born on May 26, 1945, on her Mother's 33rd birthday on their front porch in Coggon, Iowa.
Linda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was faithfully dedicated to her family all of her life.
Her love for Christian ministry was a central part of her life, demonstrated by her work as a missionary with Wycliffe Bible Translators, Wycliffe Associates and Noelridge Christian Church. Her ministry included serving internationally in Peru and Mexico. At the time of her death, she was actively supporting over 20 missionaries.
Many will remember Linda for the homemade cards of encouragement they received, for her love of books, passion for crafting, and her loving companion dog, Cricket, who was always by her side.
Linda looked forward to a restored body as she fought health issues all her life. She has been reunited with her Lord and Savior and is rejoicing in Heaven.
Left to cherish Linda's memory are her husband, Roy Ford of Waverly, Iowa; daughter, Jeri (John) Huyett of Arden Hills, Minn.; son, Mark (Sheri) Daubenmier of Kijabe, Kenya; stepsons, Mark (Kim) Ford of Charlotte, N.C., and Jeffrey (Mandi) Ford of Oswego, Ill.; 16 grandchildren; and brothers, Roger Welty of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Robert Welty of Fairhope, Ala.
