Linda Price, 74, died Tuesday evening, at her home following an extended illness.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021, at the St. Luke Catholic Church. Friends may call from 9
to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Father Paul Baldwin will officiate at the services. Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, has taken Linda and her family into their care. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
Surviving is her husband of 54 years, Norman; three children, Regina (Doug) Digmann, Barb (Mike) Fischer and Curt (Stacy) Price; five grandchildren, Matt Digmann, Lauren(Jerod) Wooster, Cortney (Kareena) Price, Luke (Brianna Curl) Price and Rylee (Jordan Lahr) Warthen; two great-grandchildren, Gage and Rowen Wooster; and in-laws, Donna Paulsen-Miskimen, Esther Bridge and Chester (Phyllis) Price.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Mary Katherine (Bob) Pfluhaupt and Larry (Linda) Whiting; and in-laws, Charles Miskimen, Arlo Paulsen, Donald J. (Joann) Price and Norma Miskimen.
Linda Ann Whiting was born Nov. 12, 1947, at Iowa City, Iowa. She was the daughter of Robert and Dorothy Henderson, Whiting. She graduated from the Central City High School in 1966. Linda worked at Collins Radio, before she married Norman Price on Oct. 14, 1967, at the Spring Grove Church in Coggon.
Linda was first and foremost a farm wife, mother and grandmother. Cooking, baking, sewing baby blankets and taking care of bottle calves, playing games with her children and grandchildren. She held several jobs away from the farm; working at City State Bank, doing daycare, working at Camp Courageous and Cascade Die Mold after her family was grown.
