Tipton
Linda K. Permann, 72, of Tipton, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 5, 2017, following a battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was the daughter of William Kenneth and Bessie (Thompson) Miller. She was born Nov. 14, 1944, in Creston, Iowa. She graduated from Des Moines Technical High School in June 1962 and Liberty University in Lynchburg,Va., in 1991. She was united in marriage to Neil Elden Permann on June 16, 1963. He preceded her in death in 2006. She was an employee of Greater Community Hospital in Creston for 23 years and at Trolli Candy Co. for nine-and-a-half years before retiring in June 2006.
Linda is survived by her life partner, Larry Hanon of Tipton; her faithful little bichon, Truman; children, Michelle Foland of Slidell, La., Sheila Elmore of Belleville, Ill., Suzanne (Gary) Waddell of Henderson, Nev., and Michael (Mary) Permann of Grimes; grandchildren, Brock (Kasia) Elmore of Glen Carbon, Ill., Zach Henry of Valentine, Neb., and Keirstan Henry of Overland Park, Kan.; brothers, Larry (Wanda Nash) Miller of Creston and Butch (Myrna) Miller of Warner, Okla.; sister, Candice (Harold) Fordyce of Bethany, Mo.; and stepsister, Minnette Sidenburg of Sun City, Ariz. Also surviving are Larry's children and grandchildren, Nicki Hanon, Margeen, Corrin and Shon Urmie of Cincinnati, Ohio, Anjie (Tracey) Emanuel, Isaiah, Aiden and Malachi of Montgomery, Ill., and Lane Hanon of Coralville; and several nieces, nephews and cousin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandparents and grandson, Travis Henry, in 2010.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at United Church of Christ in Tipton. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton, which has charge of the arrangements. Also, a memorial service will be held at Powers Funeral Home in Creston at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10, with a visitation starting at 10 a.m., prior to the service. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Cromwell,
