Linda O'Dette Warner Cahalan passed away on Monday, Sept. 4, 2023, at the age of 78.
Linda was born in 1945 to Ruth (Gerstenberger) Warner and L. Stanley Warner in Burlington, Iowa. A long-time resident of Marion, Iowa, Linda graduated from Marion High School in 1963 and from the University of Iowa in 1994. As her family's genealogist, she was a proud member of the Mayflower Society and the Daughters of the Revolution.
She is survived by her two sons, John (wife Chris) and Michael "Cal" Cahalan; two granddaughters, Taylor and Lily Cahalan; a sister, Julie Speral; and several nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ronald Warner.
A private family burial will be held, with a Celebration of Life to be announced later. Donations may be made to the Iowa Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
