LINDA M. (HARRIS) MORRIS
Hiawatha
Linda M. (Harris) Morris, 76, of Hiawatha, Iowa, passed away Monday, March 1, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, from complications of diabetes and cancer. There will be no visitation. A family graveside service will take place at Dunkard Cemetery in Midway, Toddville, Iowa, at a later date. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion is assisting the family.
Linda was born Nov. 12, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of John Harris and Fern (Jordan) Harris Candler. She graduated from Alburnett High School in 1962, and was united in marriage to Kenneth J. Morris on March 14, 1964, at the Toddville Free Methodist Church. She owned and operated Linda's Beauty Solon in Midway for several years, also working at Rockwell, Norand and Square D. Ken and Linda were managers of Bali Hai Estates in Hiawatha for Brown Inc. from 1993 until their retirement in 2009 and 2011. The residents were their family. Linda was strong in her faith and was an avid quilter. She lived a great life.
She is survived by her husband, Ken; daughter, Lori of Hiawatha; and nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; a sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Norman Henderson; and stepfather, Herman Candler.
