Linda C. McCormick, 78, of Marion, Iowa, passed away Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021.
Linda Carol McCormick was born May 12, 1943, in Dubuque, Iowa. The daughter of Albert and Margaret (Schreiner) Gatzkie, she grew up in West Union, Iowa. On Aug. 26, 1967, she married the love of her life, Donald McCormick of Keystone and they made their home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and later Marion. After working for several years in the trust department of Wells Fargo, Linda retired in 2003 and enjoyed a full life of travel, volunteer work, genealogy research and "junk journaling." A habitual list maker with a sharp artistic eye, she always had a project in the works.
Her family was everything to Linda and they will miss her deeply. She is survived by her husband, Don of Marion; her daughters, Karen (Roderick) Anderson of Hudson, Wis., and Tracy (Sarah) McCormick of Minneapolis, Minn.; her grandchildren, Cody Anderson, Colten Anderson and Nate Freeman; and a sister, Nancy (Mark) Kintzel of Cedar Rapids.
The family is planning a Celebration of Linda's life at a later date.
Memorials can be directed to Mount Mercy University Office of Development in Cedar Rapids.
