Linda Kay Dalton Maples passed away Jan. 30, 2021, after a long illness due to complications from Alzheimer's.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Maples; her three children, Lisa Lanham (Brady), Michelle Eggers (Kevin) and Jeffrey Jost (Jennifer); five grandchildren, Annie Jewel, Allie Lanham, Leo Lanham, Michael Eggers and William Eggers; and former spouse, William Jost.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Mildred Dalton.

Linda was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in 1943. After graduating from Washington High School in Cedar Rapids, she attended the University of Iowa. Linda's business career included working at Bankers Life of Cedar Rapids and working as a realtor in the same community. From 1988-1998, she and husband, Jerry, owned and operated Lakeshore Gallery in Milwaukee. Linda, being an artist, sold her paintings in galleries located in Milwaukee, Dubuque, Iowa, and Sedona, Ariz.

Linda moved to Fountain Hills, Ariz., in 1999. She served as a deacon of the Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church. In 2012, she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. For the past three years she lived in a group home in Scottsdale.

Linda was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is most remembered for her great laugh and smile, and her fun-loving nature. Linda's friends remember her as a talented artist and total animal lover, especially dogs. May she rest in peace.

A celebration of Linda's life was held at Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church on Feb. 20. Bill Good officiated.
