Linda Lee Frye, 82, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died peacefully at the home of her brother, Daniel Klein, in Tipton while under the care of Hospice for terminal cancer. Linda’s wishes were to be a body donor to the University of Iowa for further research for medical students and will eventually be laid to rest beside her husband and son in Wisconsin. Linda, daughter of Ernest Otto Klein and Hazel Mae Stewart Klein, was born on January 17, 1944 in Davenport, Iowa. Linda attended school at Monmouth High School in Illinois. Linda was united in marriage to Gary Earl Frye in 1978. She worked for Hy-Vee in Cedar Rapids for over 30 years in the Meat and Deli Department.
Those who are left to mourn her absence are her son, Brian (Nichole), grandchildren, Alaina and Abel; great grandchild, Laikyn; her sister Vola Klein Marshall, and her brothers, Kenneth Klein, Richard Klein and Daniel Klein.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, and siblings, Ernest, David, Tom, Ron, Donna and Joann.
