Linda Kay Neyens, 75, passed away on March 23, 2025, after a brief stay at Living Center West Nursing Home in Cedar Rapids. No services are planned per Linda’s wishes.
Linda is survived by her brother Phil Neyens, nephew Brad (Rachel) Neyens; sister-in-law Merry Jo Neyens, nieces Melissa (Jeff) Perry and Patricia (Mark) Uhron; brother-in-law Timothy Philipp, nieces Tonia (Chad) Bildstein and Kristina (Mike) Burhite; many great-nieces and -nephews as well as numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Shirley Philipp and brother Ronald Neyens.
Linda was born August 22, 1949, to Alfred and Aileen Neyens in Espanola, New Mexico. She graduated from LaSalle High School in Cedar Rapids. She worked at Square D for 18 years. In 1985 she decided to venture into the bar business where she became an owner of the Playtime Tap in Cedar Rapids for over 30 years. Over the years, Linda shared many laughs and beers with friends and family. Linda was a huge fan of the Hawkeyes, Cubs and Rams sports teams and enjoyed watching them whenever she could. She will be dearly missed by all her friends and family.
