Linda Kay Kading, 77, of Van Horne, Iowa, passed away peacefully Feb. 13, 2022, at Colonial Manor of Amana. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 18, at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 307 Third Ave., Van Horne, IA 52346. There will be a visitation an hour prior to service, starting at 9:30 a.m. at the church. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery in Van Horne, Iowa. Please join the family for a luncheon following the graveside service at the church.
Linda was born June 28, 1944, in Omaha, Neb., to Arthur and Annabelle (Fretz) Heubner. She attended Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Linda married John Kading on Aug. 15, 1974, in Galesburg, Ill. She was a devoted homemaker. Linda enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening, crocheting and taking care of her dogs. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. They were her pride and joy in life.
Linda is survived her four children, Bob (Ann) Heubner of Robins, Iowa, Kim (Tim) Grimm of Deep River, Iowa, Dee (Keith) Zahrt of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Donny (Angel) Kading of Van Horne, Iowa; grandchildren, Ashlee Grimm, Jon Heubner, AJ Grimm, Elyssa Kading, Allie Kading, Gracie Zahrt and Stella Kading; three brothers, Gary, Duane and Randy Heubner; and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Art and Ann Heubner; and her spouse, John Kading.
