Linda Katherine Jones, 70, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017, at her home. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 13, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Inurnment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from
2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Brosh Chapel and
The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW.
Linda was born Aug. 30, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Willard and Marcella (Hickey) Mantor. She graduated from LaSalle High School, Class of 1965. Linda was united in marriage to Richard L. Jones on Sept. 6, 1969, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Linda was a 1970 graduate of St. Luke's Methodist Hospital School of Practical Nursing.
She worked at Mercy Medical Center for over eight years and also was office manager of Fittings Unlimited, where she retired.
Linda enjoyed traveling, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her husband and grandchildren.
Linda is survived by her husband, Richard "Dick" Jones; children, Christopher Jones and Amy Jones, both of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren, Zander, Amber and Rielle; her siblings, Mary Buelow of Marion and Don Mantor (Janet Scrizen) and Bill Mantor, both of Cedar Rapids; as well as her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Richard Mantor; and a brother-in-law, Phillip Buelow.
