Linda Marie (Lacock) Arp, 70, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, at St. Luke's Living Center East, Cedar Rapids. Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at Faith Lutheran Church, 155 Boyson Rd., Marion, by Pastor John Albertson and Pastor Amy Waelchli. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion.
Survivors include her sisters, Lois Dye of Marion and Juanita (Larry) Kline of Elkader; brother, Leon (Mary) Lacock of Troy Mills; many loving nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, husband and stepdaughter, Shelly Arp.
Linda was born June 26, 1944, in Anamosa, the daughter of Glenn and Rosemary (Westphal) Lacock. She married Roger Arp on Aug. 5, 1974. Linda was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Marion and was a volunteer at St. Luke's Hospital. She made a difference with her smile and helpfulness wherever she lived. Linda enjoyed playing cards, Bingo and working puzzle books. She liked trips to the casinos and camping. Mostly, Linda enjoyed time spent with her family and friends.
Memorials may be directed to Faith Lutheran Church in Linda's memory.
