Linda Anhalt-Davis, 64, of Iowa City, formerly of Burlington, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 5, at St. Ludmila Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, conducted by the Rev. Dennis Juhl. Family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, with a vigil service at 4 p.m. Thursday. Family will also greet friends one before the service Friday at the church. Private family burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, West Burlington, Iowa.
Survivors include her sons, Andrew (Carrie) Davis of Swisher and Adam (fiancee Katrina Qiu) of Shanghai, China; two grandchildren, Dade and Beckett Davis; brother-in-law, Robert Richards of Cedar Rapids and his children, Michele and Christine; and great-nieces, Anna, Aimee and Marissa.
Also surviving is the father of her children, Michael Davis of Donnellson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Amy; one sister, Vicky; and one brother, Bill.
Linda was born April 3, 1950, in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Phillip and Jean (Bischoff) Anhalt. She graduated from Burlington High School and received her bachelor's degree in education from Iowa Wesleyan, later receiving her master's degree from Viterbo University. Linda was a teacher at West Burlington Community Schools. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Burlington.
A memorial fund has been established in Linda's memory.
