LILLIAN HILLERS

Lillian G. Hillers, 89, of Manchester, died Thurs-day, Jan. 29, 2015, at the Good Neighbor Home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Delaware. Family will greet friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, at Clifton Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Earlville and one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be at Pine View Cemetery, Delaware.
Lillian was born Jan. 30, 1925, on a farm near Greeley, the daughter of Benjamin and Viola (Neal) Parker. She was united in marriage to Martin Hillers Jr. on March 7, 1945. Before her marriage Lillian was employed as a nurse's aide at Willard Hospital. Lillian and her husband Martin farmed for 33 years near Oneida.
Lillian was active as a 4-H leader, Sunday school teacher and a member of the Delaware County Porkettes, and was a lifetime member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. After she and Martin retired and moved to Manchester in 1982, she then worked at the Good Neighbor Home as a CNA and did in-home care for the elderly.
Lillian loved spend-ing time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Larry (Sue) Hillers of Delhi, Steven (Joan) Hillers and Randall (Judy) Hillers of Manchester, Diana (Jerry) Bodensteiner of Cedar Rapids and Carolyn (Dan) Greenfield of Scotch Grove; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Martin, in 2007; two brothers, Sidney Parker and George Parker; and one sister, Dora Noble.
Memorials may be directed to Maquoketa Valley Dollars for Scholars or St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lillian's memory.
