Lila M. Shupp of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on June 20, 2023. Funeral services will be held at Kenwood Park United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids on Saturday, June 24, at 10 a.m., with visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. Pastor Chuck Layton will be presiding. A short graveside service will be held at Cedar Memorial Park with a luncheon following at the Family Center.
Lila Shupp was born Jan. 7, 1928, on a farm near Colesburg, Iowa, to Ed and Emma Brockmeyer. Lila married the love of her life, Dwaine Shupp, on Aug. 27, 1947.
She is survived by her sons, Michael (Sharie) Shupp of Ames, Iowa, and Steven (Cindy) Shupp of Council Bluffs, Iowa; three grandsons, Peter, Benjamin and Jason (Bailee); one granddaughter, Carrie Wood; and four great-granddaughters, Grace and Kelsey Wood, and Thia and Lydia Shupp. She is also survived by two brothers, Lloyd (Mary) Brockmeyer of Avon, Ind., and Roger (Margot) Brockmeyer of San Jose, Calif.; two sisters, Evelyn Deen of Montrose, Calif., and Laurel Anderson of Bode, Iowa; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dwaine; her parents; brother, Homer; and sister, Melva.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her name to Kenwood Park United Methodist Church, 175 34th St., Cedar Rapids, IA 52402.
