Lieb, Ida Mae
Ida Mae Lieb, 71, of Atkins, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following an extended illness. Memorial Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call one hour before the service on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. at the chapel. Inurnment will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Ida Mae is survived by her husband of 53 years, Kenneth Lieb of Atkins; two daughters, Mary Kay (David) Casteel of Vinton and Lynda Thomas of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren, Kendra (Devan) Allen, Kaitlin Casteel and Ethan Thomas; three great-grandchildren, Madalyn Donley, Charlee and Jensen Allen; two brothers, Harold Miller of Davenport and Larry Miller of Fairfield; and two sisters, Twila Miller of Marion and Ruth Clubb of Fairfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Betty, Janet and Lila; and five brothers, Marcus, Lester, James, Gale and Allen.
Ida Mae Lieb was born Oct. 15, 1941, in Mount Zion, Iowa, the daughter of Emery and Lillian Morris Miller. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Lieb on July 10, 1960, in Birmingham, Iowa. Ida Mae worked at Rockwell Collins before retiring after 20 years of service.
She enjoyed sewing, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
