Libbie Bertha Rozinek, 88, formerly of Solon, Iowa, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, Dec. 13, at ManorCare Nursing Home. Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel, where a visitation will begin at noon. The Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer will officiate.
She is survived by her three sons, Russell Franklin (Connie) Rozinek of Maxwell, Iowa, Richard Alan (Deb)
Rozinek of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Larry Dean (Rhonda) Rozinek of Robins, Iowa; her grandchildren, Myah Rozinek of Maxwell, Iowa, Tanner Rozinek of Iowa City, Iowa, and Amy (Mark) Schroeder of Cedar Rapids; and a great-granddaughter, Raelee Schroeder of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Otto Rozinek; and her siblings, Lucille Edgemond, Frank Dvorak, Stanley Dvorak, Lester Dvorak and Georginna Ehrenberger.
Libbie was born July 25, 1929, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Rose (Lorenc) Dvorak. She married Frank Rozinek on Oct. 3, 1949, in Davenport, Iowa. Frank and Libbie lived on an acreage outside of Lake McBride State Park near Solon, Iowa, for 35 years. Libbie was a homemaker and a cook for Solon Community Schools.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, canning, reading and family.
