Leyden, Helen
Helen Leyden, 97, of Washington, died Friday, July 22, 2011, at Mercy Iowa City following a brief illness. A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 30, at Beatty Funeral Home in Washington. Rick Bremel will officiate. The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday.
Survivors include 10 children, 47 grandchildren, 106 great-grandchildren, 66 great-great-grandchildren and two great-great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding Helen in death were her parents; her husband, Ernest; two daughters, Mary Davison and Cherie Sapp; four brothers; and five sisters.
A memorial fund has been established for the Washington Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
