Levona Ellen LaGrange, 93, passed away peacefully at Colonial Manor of Amana on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, with family by her side. A visitation will be held Saturday, February 10 from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service, 2:00 p.m., at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ellen was born June 24, 1930, in rural Monticello, Iowa to Albert and Anna (Fousek) Marek. In 1988, she married Leo LaGrange who preceded her in death in 2006. She was employed by Stouffer’s/ Five Seasons in the housekeeping and laundry departments, retiring in 1995.
She is survived by her three children, Larry (Pat) Balster of Cedar Rapids, Rosealean (Mike) Fisher of Amana, and Mike Schwab of Cedar Rapids; ten grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Donald Marek, Delores Van Geenen and Karen Konen. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kenny Schwab; grandchild, Henry Schwab; brothers, Elmer and Virgil Marek and sister, Gladys Jones.
