Levine Elaine "Lee" Burg, 91, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022. The family will greet friends and family from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. A funeral Mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, with a second visitation to begin one hour prior at the church. Burial will be held at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
Lee was born Feb. 28, 1930, in Hebron Township, Iowa, the daughter of Theodore and Fannie (Janssen) Jordahl. Lee graduated from Blue Earth High School. On April 22, 1950, Lee was united in marriage to Kenneth F. Burg. She worked at Honeywell and Rockwell Collins and enjoyed being a homemaker. Lee was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. She loved crafting, bingo and bowling. Lee had the greenest of thumbs and her beautiful roses were the fruits of her talent. She liked to keep busy watching her grandkids' activities. Lee will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her children, Theola (Mike) Hauskins, Tony (Joyce) Burg and Ken (Diane) Burg, all of Cedar Rapids; brother, Florin Jordahl of Blue Earth, Minn.; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Lee was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters-in-law, two grandchildren and brother, Delmar Jordahl.
