Leta Sue Klotzbach, 73, of Monona, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on January 13, 2025, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She was born on March 24, 1951, to Don and Merle “Mickey” Ward in Burbank, California. Leta married Stanley Klotzbach on April 12, 1968, and two children, Stan and Gina, were born into this marriage.
Leta was a devoted, loving, and supportive wife, mother, and grandmother. She spent her life keeping a meticulous home and yard and helping her husband with his carpentry business. She was best known for her warm and friendly personality who enjoyed spending time with her family and close friends.
Leta was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Mickey Ward; father and mother-in-law, Walter and Irene Klotzbach; and a sister and brother-in-law.
Leta is survived and greatly missed by her husband of almost 57 years, Stan; children, Stan Klotzbach, Jr. (friend-Candy Ellertson) and Gina (Tom) Nankival; granddaughters, Isabelle Nankival, Cameryn Klotzbach and Sophie Klotzbach; stepgrandson, William Nankival; great-grandson, Jeremiah Nankival; a brother, Lynn (Lorenda) Ward; brother-in-Law, Don Klotzbach; and many loving extended family members.
A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date for family and friends.
