Lesley Allen Williams, 60, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023, in McLean, Ill. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 19, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion.
Les was born on July 3, 1962, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Delbert and Laurel (Proesch) Williams. He was a 1981 graduate of Kennedy High School. On April 5, 1991, Les was united in marriage to Robin Kohl. Les alongside his brother, Harley, owned and operated Hill and Williams Trucking. When he wasn’t on the road, he was spending time with his friends and family or riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Les will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Les is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife of 32 years, Robin; daughters, Teisha (Patrick) Heft of Toddville and Michelle Williams of Marion; grandchildren, Austin, Abbigail, Alicia and Aspen; siblings, Harley (Sheri) Williams of Marion, Jean Williams-Wildman of Minnesota and Wes (Sue) Williams of Texas; mother-in-law, Mardell Kohl of Marion; sister-in-law, Holly Kohl; many nieces and nephews; and good friend, Paisley, the dog.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Farley Williams; father-in-law, Darwin Kohl; and brother-in-law, Chip Kohl.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Les’s memory may be directed to the family.
