Leonard Donald Dvorak Jr. (Don), 70, of Center Point, Iowa, after following the Scripture and actively practicing Acts 16:31 (Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved) for over 60 years, Don went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was surrounded by his best friend and wife Clarann, along with his children, in the comfort of his home on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014.

Don was born Dec. 23, 1943, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Leonard and Rae (Blodgett) Dvorak. Don graduated from Cedar Rapids Washington High School. He married Clarann Nelson on July 8, 1966.
Don was a member of IBEW Local 405. He has left his mark on many projects in the metro area, most recently as the owner of Five Season's Electric. Because of his hard work ethic and zest for life, he had a loyal customer following and countless friends.
Don was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Cedar Rapids. He was a proud Christian and shared his walk with Christ by the way he lead his life. Don took part in mission trips to Costa Rica, El Salvador and Arizona. His desire was to share the word of God with others.
Don was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed his fishing trips and boating with Clarann. Don and Clarann made many wonderful memories together throughout their lives. His fondest memories were made during their travels to the Oregon coast and the mountains of Colorado or any time they spent with each other.
He always put his family and others before himself. He was a volunteer firefighter and EMT in the cities of Robins and Center Point. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Don is survived by his wife of 47 years, Clarann; one son, Jeff (Linda) Dvorak of Des Moines; and two daughters, Kelly (Chris) Horn of Cedar Rapids, and Stacy Dvorak of Cedar Rapids.
Also surviving are two sisters, Ann (Al) Palmer and Becky (Dave) Karisny; and one brother, John (Dale) Dvorak.
