Leonard K. Dietrich, 89, of Williamsburg, formerly of Ladora, died Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City. Funeral service: 10 a.m. Saturday, May 23, Trinity United Church of Christ, rural Marengo, with Pastor Tim Miller officiating. Burial: Zion Cemetery, rural Ladora. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 22, Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. Memorials may be contributed to the Iowa City Hospice.
Leonard will be deeply missed by his wife of 68 years, Thelma; three daughters, Lonnett Dietrich Blakley (Frank) of Riverside, Ica Shaull (Kenneth) of North Liberty, and Ellen Stevenson (Kurt) of Tiffin; two grandchildren, Nathan Shaull (Katie) of Bertram, and Matthew Shaull (Kimberly) of Hiawatha; and a great-grandchild, Keagan Shaull. He is also survived by a brother, Donald Dietrich of Marengo, and many additional family and friends.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Mary Calvert Dietrich; two brothers, Richard and Gary; and a sister, Margery Stockstell.
