East Amana
Leona R. Anderson, 91, of East Amana, died Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo. Burial: East Amana Cemetery. Visitation: after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home before the service.
Survivors include her son, Ron and wife Mary Anne of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren, Jeff Anderson (Julie) of Cedar Rapids and Jennifer Floyd (Greg) of Kinston, N.C.; and two great-grandsons, Everett and Anderson Floyd of Kinston.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Frances Vanous Bahndorf; her husband, Christopher in 1999; a granddaughter, Julie; three sisters, Edna Lippman, Viola Unkel and Louise Neumann; and six brothers, Henry, William, Ernest, Herbert, Walter and Norman Bahndorf.
The family thanks the caring nurses and doctors in the ICU at Mercy Medical Center for the attention and care given to Leona.
