Lombard, Ill.
Leon A. Sulek, of Lombard, Ill., died peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at the age of 77.
Beloved husband of the late Diana (Marucci) Sulek. Loving father of Jessica (Joe) Dalessandro and Jennifer (Kevin) Patee. Brother to Ellen (Sulek) Kepler and cherished grandfather to Sara, Katie, Dylan and Lindsay.
Leon was born in Cedar Rapids and was a 1959 graduate of Jefferson High School. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1963 and graduated from Lewis University in 1966. After moving to Lombard, Leon began working for American Airlines and retired 32 years later.
A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, June 30, at 10 a.m. at Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton, Ill. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Leon's life.
