Leo E. "Butch" Milota, 80, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at Meadow View. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel. Burial with military rites: Czech National Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Survivors include his wife, Linda; two daughters, Tricia (Dan) Milota and Dana (Steven) McNeil, both of Cedar Rapids; a son, Andy (Debra) of San Ramon, Calif.; a sister, Shirley Jones of Cedar Rapids; and two grandchildren, Sarah and Nicholas.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rhonda; four brothers and two sisters.
Butch was born Nov. 30, 1936, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Rudolph and Mary Papacek Milota. He married Linda Haltom on May 5, 1962, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
Butch was a tool and die maker at Square D and retired from there after 43 years of service.
Butch enjoyed the Chicago Cubs and watching Western movies. He proudly served in the Navy and enjoyed going to his L.S.T reunions with his wife, Linda.
Butch was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend, whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
Memorial donations may be given to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
